Amber Mayfield is an event producer, a culinary magazine publisher, an entertaining expert, and a member of the Forbes 30 Under 30, class of 2022.
Amber launched To Be Hosted - a dinner series designed to highlight young Black chefs, artists, and musicians. Since then, To Be Hosted has grown into a full-service event agency that specializes in curating dinners and events.
In 2020, Amber expanded her work to include While Entertaining Magazine, highlighting inspiring stories and delicious recipes from chefs of the African diaspora. Each edition is a labor of love curated with the home cook and modern hostess in mind. As an entertaining expert, Amber has been featured in The New York Times, Good Morning America, Better Homes & Gardens, Vogue, The Washington Post, and more.
Whether she is producing the event or creative directing the content, Amber is on a mission to bring more diverse voices, stories, and flavors to the table in food and home entertaining.
