Katie Shepherd

Katie grew up in North Carolina and is a graduate of the MFA program at Columbia University and holds an MA from The University of Manchester in education. She is a lead producer at Slate Studios and an adjunct professor at Columbia University where she teaches a course on podcasting. Her work has been featured in The New York Times' Modern Love, Literary Hub, ELLE, BUST, Ploughshares, and The Rumpus. She has produced podcasts for Gimlet Creative, Stitcher, NYU Production Lab, The Listening Booth, and a Webby-winning show for Deepak Chopra's Infinite Potential Media and Cadence 13. She lives in Brooklyn.
