Lara Witt

Lara (she/they) is an award-winning writer and editor. Their journalism career started at the Philadelphia CityPaper and the Philadelphia Daily News. Lara has freelanced for Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and Teen Vogue. They were the EIC of Wear Your Voice, a digital publication focusing on pop culture and politics through a radical lens of LGBTQIA+ Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC). As the Editorial Director of Prism, their goal is to provide platforms for marginalized voices and reshape the media landscape altogether. Lara's writing and editing are rooted in the principles of movement journalism which she sees as a critical tool for liberation.
